Job summary

CFN Construction in Saskatoon is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to carry a residential build from rough-in through quality finishing. You should have strong finishing skills and be able to read blueprints.

This full-time, permanent role requires owning tools and a valid driver’s license. Location is Saskatoon, with a focus on high-performance and Net Zero construction practices.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Carpenter certification (Red Seal or similar): strongly preferred.
• Solid finishing skills: trim, doors, windows, and millwork.
• Proven framing expertise.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Own tools, valid driver's license, reliable transportation.
• Strong communicator, team player, and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of residential framing: walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and engineered systems.
• Perform quality finish carpentry: trim, doors, windows, millwork, and cabinetry.
• Work with high-performance building envelope details, air sealing, and energy-efficient systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with trades, mentor apprentices, and maintain a safe and organized job site.
