Job summary

Finning in Saskatchewan is seeking Journeyman Electricians for field roles across the province. This permanent, full-time position offers hands‑on power generation work, CAT‑certified training, and opportunities to advance toward a dual ticket.

You will service, troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical equipment, work with natural gas and diesel engines, and support customer service commitments while earning premiums and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred).
• Heavy Duty Mechanic with power generation experience would be an asset.
• Power Systems experience, must be capable and confident troubleshooting mechanically governed fuel delivery systems.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers license.
• Generator experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical and power generation equipment.
• Perform maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments.
• Load test power generation equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild mechanical equipment (including general maintenance to full rebuilds of CAT engines).
• Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment.

• Wage: $42.62 - $51.57
• Additional Premiums available per hour: $3.25 (continuous shift), $5.00 (field), $3.25 (dual ticket)

• A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing)
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices may be considered
• Equivalent Tickets with power experience will be considered
