Position Summary

Journeyperson Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for various purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources, and communications. With shops in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, and Saskatoon, the E&I team works on local and site projects throughout Western Canada.

Position Details

• Camp Project at Cenovus Foster Creek
• 8/6 Rotation
• 12-hour days
• Rotational Travel Allowance Provided

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing

Core Accountabilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes to determine layouts
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cables, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Maintain, repair, and test switchgear, transformers, and related equipment
• Maintain, repair, and test electrical motors, generators, control systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic devices
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems and related devices
• Conduct preventive maintenance and keep records
• May install and calibrate industrial instrumentation
