The Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, the Journeyperson Automotive Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities on various pieces of equipment.
Perform maintenance and repair activities on various pieces of equipment as well as heavy-duty truck and semi tractors as required if skill set is available.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and keep the truck clean.
Provide on the job training to other employees and new hires when requested.
Ensure proper logs are maintained of condition and location of equipment for proper shift hand-over.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Required to operate trucks in a safe manner in congested and confined areas.
Keeps tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Performs related work as assigned.
