Job summary

McKay Metis Contracting is seeking an experienced Combo Truck Operator local to Fort McMurray, AB or willing to relocate. You will refuel and lubricate mobile and heavy‑duty equipment to maximize availability and performance.

Responsibilities include covering fuel and lube routes daily, recording maintenance reports, keeping trucks clean, performing minor maintenance, and reporting safety or environmental issues.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Class 5) with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Satisfactory 5-year driver’s abstract.
• Ability to access all client sites as required.
• Able to work in all weather and site conditions.
• Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
• Successfully complete pre-employment drug, alcohol, and physical abilities testing.
• CSO certification or equivalent.

• Enter detailed refueling and lubrication reports into the preventative maintenance database at end of shift.
• Maintain fuel and lube trucks/equipment; keep clean and safe.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as requested by supervisor.
• Provide verbal or written safety/environmental issue reports to supervisor daily.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Take oil samples and complete required paperwork to process samples.
• All other duties as required.

The Role:

Refuel and lubricate mobile and heavy-duty equipment in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, to maximize equipment availability and performance.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure fuel and lube routes are covered daily


• Enter detailed reports on refueling and lubricating into the preventative maintenance database at the end of each shift


• Maintain fuel and lube trucks and equipment on a continuous basis including keeping it clean and free of safety hazards


• Perform minor maintenance tasks, as requested by supervisor


• Provide verbal or written reports about maintenance, safety, or environmental issues, to the supervisor daily


• Participate in daily toolbox talks and regular safety meetings


• Must have the ability to understand lubricant types and applications


• Take oil samples and complete the paperwork required to process samples


• All other duties as required

Requirements and Competencies:

• Class One (1) or Three (3) with Air Brake Endorsement Drivers License is an asset.


• Minimum Class Five (5) Drivers License is required.


• Satisfactory 5-year Drivers Abstract.


• Ability to access all client sites as required.


• Able to work in all weather and working site conditions.


• Physically able to complete the duties of the position.


• Successfully complete all pre-employment drug, alcohol, and physical abilities testing.


• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification or equivalent.

Schedule:

• 5 days, 5 nights followed by 5 days off
