Surepoint is seeking Journeymen Mechanics and Millwrights to join our team in Edson, AB. We value motivated, safety-driven individuals who take pride in their work and demonstrate initiative.

Registered Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright candidates with 3 years of field service experience are encouraged to apply. You will train and mentor junior workers, lead job hazard assessments, and ensure high-quality maintenance and repairs on compressors and engines, with on-site safety at the

Competenze

• 3 years’ Field Service work experience.
• Registered Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright credentials.
• Ability to work in remote locations and stay in hotels or camps.

Mansioni

• Perform overhaul, maintenance and repair of compressors and engines.
• Troubleshoot ignition panels and instrument panels.
• Lead safety-focused tasks and job hazard assessments on site.
• Train and mentor junior employees in standard safe work practices.
• Provide detailed daily time sheets and maintain records for customers.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Seeking mechanics with Caterpillar, Superior, Cooper, and Waukesha engine experience


• Must also have experience in the overhaul, maintenance and repair of Ariel, Dresser Rand, Superior, and Gemini compressors.


• Experienced in troubleshooting ignition panels and instrument panels.


• Knowledgeable and experienced in package start-up and commissioning.


• Combined Screw and Reciprocating compression experience would be an asset.


• Provide detailed record-keeping and present detailed daily time sheets to customers.


• Recognize opportunities to improve service and manufacturing sales.


• Communicate daily with the Branch Coordinator and Operations Manager.


• High achiever/ skilled tradesman, dedicated to performing quality work promptly.


• Place a high priority on safety of oneself and others and abide by the company’s safety policies and procedures.


• Able to train and mentor junior employees in standard safe work practices and procedures.


• Can lead individuals and teams in Job Hazard Assessments and Risk Analysis.


• Maintain and support a high safety standard, both on-site and in documentation

What You Need To Succeed

• Registered Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright.


• Prior certified engine or compressor training would be an asset.


• 3 years’ Field Service work experience.


• Ability to work in remote locations and be away from home for periods of time and stay in hotels or camps.


• Possess good driving habits and a clean driver’s abstract.


• Ability to work well in a team environment and mentor junior workers.


• Well-organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines.


• Able to provide solid work references.


• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
