Job summary

OCL Group Inc. is hiring two Pipe Welders for our Fabrication Shop in Canada. The role focuses on stainless steel pipe welding and fabrication, working from detailed drawings to produce piping, fittings, and vessels.

Ideal candidates bring B-Pressure Welder certification, current CWB status, and extensive experience with GTAW/SMAW/FCAW in an industrial setting. Safe teamwork and commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman B-Pressure Welder ticket.
  • Current and in-good-standing CWB qualifications.
  • Proven industrial fabrication experience.
  • Extensive Stainless Steel pipe welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex shop drawings and isometrics.
  • Safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, First Aid, and Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld pressure piping, fittings, and vessels per drawings and specs.
  • Maintain shop quality standards and meet project deadlines.
  • Perform high-quality welding (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW) as required.
  • Collaborate with Shop Foreman and trades to ensure safe, efficient workspace.
  • Identify hazards and comply with safety policies and legislation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for two experienced Pipe Welders to join our Fabrication Shop team. We are looking for skilled tradespeople who are quality-focused, organized, and take pride in their work.

Please note: Both positions require specific, proven experience with Stainless Steel fabrication and welding.

Compensation/Benefits
  • Competitive wage with excellent hourly compensation
  • Overtime after 8 hours per day.
  • 6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.
  • Benefits after 90 days of employment (50% employer paid) - vision, health, dental, paramedicals, travel

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and weld pressure piping, fittings, and vessels according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain shop quality standards and adhere to all project deadlines.
  • Perform high-quality welding (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, etc.) as required.
  • Collaborate with the Shop Foreman and fellow tradespeople to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive workspace.
  • Identify hazards and comply with company safety policies and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Education/Skills/Experience
  • Journeyman B-Pressure Welder ticket.
  • Valid CWB qualifications (current and in good standing).
  • Proven experience with industrial fabrication.
  • For both positions: Demonstrated, extensive experience in Stainless Steel pipe welding is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex shop drawings and isometrics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and layout skills.
  • Safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, First Aid, and valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
