Job summary

OCL Group Inc. seeks experienced Journeyman Pipefitters for an ongoing Enbridge project in Fort McMurray. The role follows a 10 days on/4 days off rotation with camp accommodations provided.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, fabricating and installing piping systems, troubleshooting, and mentoring apprentices. Candidates must hold a Journeyperson Pipefitter certificate, have industrial construction experience, and demonstrate strong safety and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Requires Journeyperson Pipefitter certification.
• Experience in an industrial construction environment is required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid safety tickets (OSSA, CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, AWP, Confined Space).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with cranes and rigging; select appropriate size/weight ratings.
• Physically capable of bending, lifting and working in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, isometric drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install valves, pipes, fittings from metal, plastic and fiberglass.
• Install valves, pumps, fittings, supports and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as required.
• Ensure work complies with OCL standards, codes and regulations.
• Mentor Apprentices Pipefitters and maintain safe, organized work area.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at all times.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced Journeyman Pipefitters to join our team for an ongoing Enbridge project.

The schedule is a 10 days on, 4 days off rotation (10/4), and camp accommodations are provided.

Compensation/Benefits

• Payday is every Friday

• 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings


• OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, isometric drawings and specifications


• Expertly measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass valves, pipes, fittings


• Install valves, pumps, fittings, supports and control systems


• Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as required


• Ensure work is completed in accordance with OCL standards, industry codes and applicable regulations


• Mentor and provide guidance to Apprentice Pipefitters


• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area


• Comply with all company, client and site-specific safety policies and procedures

Skills/Qualifications/Education

• Previous experience in an industrial construction environment
