Job summary

OCL Group Inc. is seeking experienced Journeyperson Pipefitters and Apprentices for a project in Cochrane, Alberta. Preference for local candidates from Calgary and surrounding areas.

Dates: Oct 5-10 and Oct 14-19. Must hold Confined Space, H2S Alive, and CSTS-2020 certifications; site requires employees to be clean-shaven and bring own hard hat. Responsibilities include rigging, bolting, flange work, pipe joining, leak testing, and maintaining strict safety/quality standards.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification or registered apprenticeship status.
• Must have valid safety tickets: H2S Alive, Confined Space and Entry, CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Rigging and hoisting of valves and heavy components using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Perform bolting, torquing, and flange management as part of valve change-out and installation.
• Join and secure pipe sections according to specifications.
• Use test equipment to verify system integrity and check for leaks.
• Ensure tasks are completed in full compliance with safety, quality, and procedural standards.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong safety culture.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced and safety-conscious Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters for a project in Cochrane, Alberta. Preference will be given to local candidates from Calgary and surrounding areas.

Oct 5-10
Oct 14-19.

Must have Confined Space and Entry and H2S Alive certification. This site requires employees to be clean-shaven. You are responsible for bringing your own hard hat

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Experience/Qualifications

• Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification
• Must be a registered apprentice
• Previous rigging experience working in an industrial setting is an asset
• Must have valid safety tickets: H2S Alive, Confined Space and Entry and CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015.
• Confined Space and Entry and an asset
• Ensure a safe team environment
• Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditional conditions
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Must have transportation to get to/from site
