Job summary

OCL Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter for a project-based assignment in Alberta. This camp-based position offers a variable schedule and a chance to contribute to safety-focused projects across Western Canada.

Applicants should hold a Red Seal certificate, have experience in heavy industrial construction, and be prepared for rigorous outdoor work. A valid driver’s license and pre-employment checks are required, along with CSA FR gear and safety tickets.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter with Red Seal preferred.
• Experience in mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial construction preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must have valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, CSTS-2020 or equivalent).
• Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract; able to pass pre-employment requirements.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and project drawings.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass valves, pipes, fittings.
• Join pipe sections and secure in position.
• Use test equipment to check systems for leaks.
• Install supports, valves, piping and control systems.
• Mentor and train apprentices in safe work practices and trade skills.

About The Role

We are looking for experienced Journeyman Pipefitters to join our team for a project based in Latornell, AB. This is a camp based position with a variable schedule.

This is a clean-shaven site. **FR clothing or coveralls are required and the responsibility of the employee to bring. Must also have CSA strips (FR), Hard hats, CSA ankle support boots

Duties/Responsibilities

• Complete tasks in line with OCL and industry standards, procedures and practices

Education/Skills/Qualifications

• Journeyman: Certified Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter with Red Seal endorsement preferred.
• Previous industrial construction experience (mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial) preferred.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must have valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, CSTS-2020 (or equivalent)
• Standard First Aid is an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
• Valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and ability to pass pre-employment requirements.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
