Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a Steamfitter-Pipefitter for our CNRL Horizon Sustaining project. The role involves connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging, indoors or outdoors depending on scope, and is physically demanding.

Anticipated start date is August 24, 2026. Location: CNRL CMS. Shift: 10 day on, 24 day off, with flights from Edmonton and Calgary and camp accommodation provided. Hourly rate: CAD 53.56. This union position welcomes 3rd and 4th year apprentices.

Qualifications

• Must be Alberta ticketed journeyman or equivalent.
• CSTS-09 and/or CSO certifications are preferred.
• H2S considered an asset.
• Team orientation and physical capability required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and OH&S standards.
• Select pipe types and sizes based on blueprints.
• Construct hangers and hydraulic cylinders per specs.
• Bend pipe using tools/machines.
• Pressure test pipe systems and check for leaks.
• Connect pipe with threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints.
• Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Cut pipe with saws and torches.
• Secure pipe with brackets and hangars.
• Attend safety and toolbox meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
