Job summary

The Tuccaro Group is seeking a positive, energetic Parts Technician to manage inventory, process parts purchases and ensure timely records and reporting. The role ensures smooth operations within Fort McMurray and Oil Sands sites.

Qualified candidates should have 5+ years in a parts role, a trade certificate, and the ability to safely operate a forklift, with a valid Class 5 license. Local knowledge of parts and vendors is a plus.

• Clean driver's abstract and valid Class 5 license.
• Ability to operate forklift safely.

Job description

Our organization is currently seeking a positive, energetic individualto fill the position of Parts Technician. The Parts Technicianwill be responsible for keeping records of parts received and parts issued,while maintaining a quality in which best suits the company so that operationis not jeopardized.

Basic duties

• Responsible for the purchasing, procurement, shipping, receiving andmaintenance of inventory.
• Coordinate with both internal customers and accounts payabledepartment to ensure that all transactions are accounted timely.
• Negotiate with vendors for best price and deals.
• Maintain inventorycontrol records, monthly reports, records of services andrepairs.
• Ensure everything required for the operation is acquired at the righttime with the best price within budgetary requirements
• Prepare requisition orders toreplenish parts, supplies, monitoring core returns and warrants.
• Monitor accuracy of all inventory levels,recommending any necessary changes to management and resolving any inventorydiscrepancies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the movements of goods from vendors andreturns with the best shipping mode in accordance with the company policy.
• Responsible for time to time supplier evaluation

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• Trade Certificate related to Parts/Inventory would be preferred
• Ability to utilize multiple computer programs, including Microsoft Office and database software
• 5+ Years experience in a parts position
• Knowledge of light/heavy duty truck and trailer parts/heavy equipment
• Clean Driver's Abstract/ Valid Class 5 License
• Ability to operate forklift in a safe and responsible manner
