Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks a Journeyman Electrician to install electrical systems on industrial construction projects. You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and ensure work meets electrical code and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification or Red Seal preferred.
• Proficient with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Able to operate hand tools and electrical testing devices.
• Valid driver’s license and flexible with shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment and components on industrial projects.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on various construction projects. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits

• Shift: Various shift schedules available
• Working Hours: Opportunity to work 8 to 12 hours per day based on workload requirements
• Overtime: Overtime opportunities may be available on an occasional basis
• Apprentices: Support is provided for apprenticeship programs and completion of required hours
