Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks a Journeyman Electrician to join our Athabasca team. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial projects, ensuring safety and code compliance.

The role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance across diverse environments, with shifts, overtime, and a focus on safety and self-direction.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.

Role Summary:

We are seeking an Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Athabasca. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience and certification.
