Job summary

PTW Energy Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support industrial construction projects. The role involves installing electrical systems, interpreting drawings, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and code requirements, with a 7-on/7-off FIFO rotation from Calgary/Edmonton or travel allowance to Conklin, AB.

Candidates should have a Journeyman Electrician certificate (Red Seal preferred) and at least 3 years of industrial experience, with strong safety focus and ability to work

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician certificate required; Red Seal preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial construction electrical experience.
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/EMP, Confined Space, ESTS, CSTS, First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical code, safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports.
• Maintain tools and a safe work environment.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on a variety of small industrial construction projects.

This position operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation and offers FIFO travel from Calgary or Edmonton, or a travel allowance for candidates commuting to Conklin, AB.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Minimum of 3years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/EMP, Confined Space, ESTS, CSTS&First Aid
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $47.30 - $54.35, commensurate with experience and certification
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
