SOUTHLAND is seeking a Journeyperson Mechanic to service and repair school buses, with potential field assignments for down buses. The role emphasizes safe, efficient maintenance, with a shift Monday–Friday and a flexible schedule supporting work-life balance.

Qualifications include a Journeyperson Ticket, own tools, English fluency, 2–5 years’ experience, and a valid Class 2/3 license. Benefits include RRSP and tool allowance after probation.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket required or equivalent certification.
• Own hand tools and ability to use diagnostic/measuring devices.
• 2–5 years related experience in bus maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license (Class 2 or 3 asset).
• CVIP experience considered an asset and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses and field work as needed.
• Diagnosing equipment problems and performing repairs.
• Complete CVIP inspections and documentation.
• Coordinate with shop management on schedules and priorities.
• Follow company procedures and safety guidelines.
