Job summary

ETHOS Career Management Group Ltd. is seeking Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals to provide subcontracted employment services in Nanaimo and Duncan. You will deliver resume and cover letter development, job search skills training, and individualized job placement support as an independent contractor.

This on-call position offers compensation of $45–$50 per hour for Employment Services and $80–$85 per hour for CVRS Services, with required business registrations, insurance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of directly related experience providing resume/cover letter preparation, job search skills training, and individualized job placement services.
• Experience developing customized rehabilitation plans where applicable.

As a member of the WSBC Provider network, the ETHOS Job Search Support Subcontractor will be providing individualized services for resume and cover letter development, job search skills, and individualized job placement support.

Vocational Rehabilitation Professional / Employment Specialist

Job Type: Independent Contractor (Subcontractor) – On Call

Compensation: $45 to $50 per hour (Employment Services)

Compensation: $80 to $85 per hour (CVRS Services, where qualified)

Location: Nanaimo and Surrounding Areas

Independent Contractor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Professional / Employment Specialist to provide services on a subcontractor basis. This is not an employee position. Successful applicants will operate as independent contractors and must maintain the required business registration, insurance coverage, and documentation outlined below.

Applicants Must:

• Hold a post-secondary degree in a related discipline.
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience within the past five (5) years providing:
  • Resume and cover letter preparation;
  • Job search skills training;
  • Individualized job placement services; and/or
  • Customized rehabilitation planning relevant to the services being delivered.

Applicants Must Also Either:

• Hold one of the following professional designations:
  • Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP)
  • Registered Vocational Professional (RVP)
  • Certified Vocational Professional (CVP)
  • Master Certificate: Vocational Professional (MCVP)
  • Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CRC/CCRC)

OR

• Work under the direct supervision of an individual who holds one of the above designations.

Independent Contractor Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Criminal Record Check
• Business Liability Insurance and/or Errors & Omissions Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 coverage
• Business Licence and/or
  • CRA documentation showing a valid Business Number
  • Statement of Business Registration or Certificate of Incorporation
