Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) an integral part of the Glencore Group, seeks a Talent Management co-op in British Columbia. You will support performance, succession and leadership programs, and develop reporting and communications materials for diverse audiences.

You’ll need an undergrad or master’s in HR/OD or commerce with HR focus, plus strong MS Office, SharePoint, and analytical skills. Energy, mining context, and SAP/SuccessFactors familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree in HR, OD, or commerce with HR focus.
  • Highly organized self-starter able to prioritize under pressure.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
  • Analytical thinker capable of informed decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors, or Power BI is a plus.
  • Prior work experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support performance management, succession planning, leadership, inclusive workplace, and learning programs.
  • Answer program and process questions from a diverse audience.
  • Provide reporting for Talent Management programs as required.
  • Develop visual and written communication materials for diverse audiences.
  • Track and develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of Talent Management programs.
  • Manage data files on the Talent Management SharePoint site.
  • Support Talent Management project innovation for key initiatives.

In This Role, You Will
  • Provide support for performance management, succession planning, leadership, inclusive workplace, and learning programs

  • Help develop visual and written communication materials for a variety of audiences
  • Help to track and develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of Talent Management programs
  • Management of data files on the Talent Management SharePoint site
  • Support Talent Management project innovation for key initiatives
Requirements
  • Currently pursing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a Commerce program with a specialization in Human Resources or a related field
  • Motivated self-starter: able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in analyzing information to support informed decision-making
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Experience with Success Factors, SAP, or software such as Power BI would be an asset
  • Prior work experience would be considered an asset

Salary: $4,117 - $5,192 CAD/month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
