Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) offers a Talent Management co-op/internship starting January 2027 for 8 or 12 months in Sparwood, BC. You will support performance management, succession planning, leadership, and learning initiatives while gaining exposure to mining operations.

You will develop reports, create communication materials, track metrics, and manage Talent Management data on SharePoint, with mentorship from seasoned specialists and opportunity for post-graduation consideration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in HR, OD, or commerce with HR specialization.
• Motivated self-starter with attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in MS Office; SharePoint knowledge; Power BI is an asset.

In this role, you will:

Requirements:

• Currently pursing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a Commerce program with a specialization in Human Resources or a related field
• Motivated self-starter: able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams
• Proficient in analyzing information to support informed decision-making
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of SharePoint
• Experience with Success Factors, SAP, or software such as Power BI would be an asset
• Prior work experience would be considered an asset

Salary: $4,117 - $5,192 CAD/month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
