Job summary

EVR (Elk Valley Resources) in British Columbia is offering a Talent Management co-op placement starting January 2027 for 8 or 12 months. The program targets undergrad or graduate students in HR/OD/Commerce with HR specialization.

It provides hands-on experience across performance management, succession planning, reporting, and communications within Talent Management. You’ll gain mentorship from seasoned specialists, develop data-driven insights, and contribute to key initiatives while supporting

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a Commerce program with a specialization in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Motivated self-starter: able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in analyzing information to support informed decision-making.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Experience with Success Factors, SAP, or software such as Power BI would be an asset.
  • Prior work experience would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for performance management, succession planning, leadership, inclusive workplace, and learning programs
  • Answer program and process related questions from a diverse audience
  • Provide reporting functionality for Talent Management programs as required
  • Help develop visual and written communication materials for a variety of audiences
  • Help to track and develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of Talent Management programs
  • Management of data files on the Talent Management SharePoint site
  • Support Talent Management project innovation for key initiatives

Salary: $4,117 - $5,192 CAD/month


Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
