Job summary

Anthem Properties Group in Gibsons, BC is seeking a reliable cleaner to join our property maintenance team. The role supports both part-time (16–21 hours/week) or full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedules and focuses on keeping the building clean inside and out, including floors, restrooms, and common areas.

The ideal candidate will operate commercial cleaning and snow removal equipment, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and respond promptly to tenant requests.

Qualifications

• Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals; training provided.
• Standing/walking for extended periods.

Job description

The position is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and out. This is a contract opportunity, and we’re open to either part-time (16 to 21 hours per week) or full-time (37.5 hours per week) schedules.

Key responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop floors
• Vacuum carpets
• Emptying trash
• Sanitizing restroom and other high traffic areas
• Snow clearing in winter and landscaping in summer months
• General cleaning as assigned
• Respond to tenant and customer requests

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment
• Must work with cleaning chemicals; training will be provided
• Standing/walking for extended periods of time
• Must be energetic, flexible, and reliable
• Must be friendly, courteous, self-motivated, and professional
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently

The ideal candidate will have the ability to make minor repairs throughout the shopping centre.
