Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced ITAM Project Manager to support the continued maturity and transformation of an enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) program within a leading Canadian financial institution.

This role will focus primarily on project management, business analysis, stakeholder coordination, process improvement, and the implementation of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience with previous involvement in ServiceNow HAM and SAM implementations. This is not a hands‑on technical ITAM Analyst position. The focus is on managing projects, coordinating implementation activities, gathering business requirements, and ensuring successful delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage ITAM-related projects, particularly ServiceNow HAM and SAM implementations and enhancements.

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, and process workflows.

• Coordinate with business stakeholders, ServiceNow developers, technical teams, and ITAM resources throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Support the implementation and improvement of HAM and SAM business processes.

• Facilitate project meetings, requirements workshops, stakeholder discussions, and status updates.

• Coordinate testing, UAT, change management, and implementation readiness activities.

• Identify business process gaps, project risks, and opportunities for operational improvements.

• Develop and maintain project documentation, process maps, status reports, and executive presentations.

• Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives, ITAM governance requirements, and organizational standards.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Business Project Management, Business Analysis, or related roles.

• Previous experience leading or supporting ServiceNow implementations involving HAM and SAM.

• Strong familiarity with ServiceNow ITAM capabilities, specifically Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management.

• Experience managing technology implementation projects from requirements gathering through deployment.

• Strong project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and organizational skills.

• Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, and translating business needs into functional deliverables.

• Understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, governance, and associated business processes.

• Experience working with cross‑functional business and technical teams.

• Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience within financial services or other highly regulated environments.

• Experience supporting enterprise ITAM transformation or ServiceNow modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and its relationship to HAM and SAM.

• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications.

• Experience with UAT, change management, and business process transformation.

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and IT asset governance.

ADDITIONAL HIRING MANAGER NOTES

• This is primarily a project management and business-focused role, not a technical ITAM Analyst position.

• Candidates must have previous ServiceNow implementation experience involving HAM and SAM.

• Strong project management, business requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, and implementation delivery experience are the main priorities.

• Candidates should understand HAM and SAM functionality and processes but are not expected to perform hands‑on technical configuration.

• Ideal backgrounds include IT Project Manager, ServiceNow Project Manager, ITAM Project Manager, or Business Project Manager with ServiceNow implementation experience.
