Halton Catholic District School Board is seeking qualified language teachers to support after-school programs at multiple locations in the Halton region. Positions run Fridays 6:00 pm–8:30 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am–11:30 am, with immediate start and a June 12, 2027 end date.

Competitive hourly rate from $18.43 to $37.38, dependent on language qualification and experience. Prepare and deliver language lessons, monitor attendance, maintain classroom organization, and ensure alignment with Board

LOCATION: Varying locations including;

• Friday evenings from 6:00pm-8:30 pm at St. Brigid (Georgetown) & Guardian Angels (Milton)
• Saturdays from 9:00 am – 11:30 am at St. Chrstopher (Burlington) & Queen of Heaven (Milton)

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately for our Supply List

END DATE: June 12, 2027

HOURS: Fridays from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 11:30 am

RATE OF PAY: $18.43 to $37.38

POSITION OVERVIEW :

• Prepare and deliver language lessons for in-class as needed

• Instruct students at various levels of linguistic competence
• Adhering to and working withinparameters of Board Policies and Procedures

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Certified Teachers with qualifications in a second language are preferred
• Must exhibit competency in the International Language of instruction and have a good working knowledge of English
• Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience, preferably with elementary students
• Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with a variety of learners
• High energy – an excitement for teaching
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills
