IT Transformation Director - Client and Sales Executive - Smart Meter & Grid

Description

Capgemini is seeking a passionate, self-motivated Client and Sales Executive with over 10 years of Management Consulting or Utilities Industry leadership experience. This role focuses on leading growth strategies and sales initiatives in the utility sector, specifically related to management consulting and large-scale implementation projects in Smart Meter, Smart Grid, and Energy Transition services.

The candidate will be responsible for market and client development, fostering relationships, collaborating with Capgemini capabilities to meet client objectives, and managing project delivery and budgets. Leading teams of consulting professionals to deliver world-class services and contributing to the development of Capgemini-specific offerings are key aspects of this role. A significant part of the role involves scaling services across Canada.

Location: Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver

Key Responsibilities:

1. Influence strategy to expand existing Smart Meter and Smart Grid consulting and implementation projects within Utilities, including developing key offerings and aligning with client account plans.
2. Develop and implement business development and sales strategies to meet targets.
3. Collaborate with Capgemini Business Lines to create joint ownership, targets, and execution plans for multi-line projects.
4. Sell and deliver Smart Grid and Utilities transformation consulting projects.
5. Support marketing activities, such as publications.
6. Foster career development for team members in sales and delivery roles.

Required Skills:

1. Extensive experience in the Utilities industry and Smart Meter/Grid domain, including AMI, ADMS, DERMs, Asset Management, or GIS, and working with leading vendors.
2. Proven account growth and sales experience.
3. Leadership in Smart Grid and utilities strategy, consulting, or implementation projects.
4. Entrepreneurial mindset with growth ambitions.
5. Experience in capability assessments, business cases, use cases, and transformation roadmaps.
6. Experience with rate case filings and regulatory presentations.
7. Understanding of industry trends and challenges.
8. Preferred experience includes digital transformation programs, strategy, operating models, mergers, or post-merger integration.
9. Strong presentation skills, able to summarize key business impacts.
10. External marketing experience is advantageous.
11. Minimum of 7 years guiding teams.
