Director, Global Marketing Strategy & Transformation

The role of the Director, Global Marketing Strategy & Transformation, is responsible for developing and managing the integrated strategy and overall planning for Manulife’s Marketing function. This includes championing strategic goals, analyzing current state, industry trends, and competitive research, and partnering with business lines to define a holistic approach to achieve results.

The Strategy team supports the company’s long-term marketing strategies and the execution of key initiatives such as Digital Transformation, NPS, Brand, Digital Marketing, Analytics, AI, Human-Centred Design, Innovation, Sustainability, and Community Investment/Sponsorship, providing a unique vantage point for shaping transformation towards becoming a digital, customer-centric leader.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage complex strategic initiatives for Global Marketing, ensuring delivery and benefits realization.
  2. Drive data-informed decision-making and analyze strategic issues for senior stakeholders.
  3. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to enhance strategies and competitive positioning.
  4. Influence and align stakeholders through effective communication and leadership.
  5. Lead competitive intelligence and external research to align strategies with market trends.
  6. Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing organization.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in a quantitative field with 10+ years of experience in strategy and transformation, preferably in Financial Services or related fields.
  2. Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
  3. Proven ability to influence senior leadership with persuasive communication.
  4. Collaborative, self-motivated, and results-oriented in diverse environments.
  5. Experience with AI initiatives is desirable; some travel may be required.

Salary Range: $105,750 - $190,350 CAD, based in Toronto, with a hybrid work model. Salary varies based on market conditions, skills, experience, and education. Benefits include health, dental, mental health, retirement plans, and more.
