Job summary

Intact is seeking an IT Technical Advisor intern to join our growing Digital, Data and Tech team in Toronto. This 35-hour-per-week internship runs Winter 2027 (January to April).

You will analyze multi-system integrations, adapt to changing needs, and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders. You will collaborate with senior developers and architects to design IT architecture blueprints, stay current with tech trends, and contribute to architectural documentation and solution evaluations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in a field related to Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Systems or related field.
• Available to work full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Winter 2027 Term (January to April).
• Active student during internship and planning to return to school next Summer or Fall 2027.
• No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand multi-system integrations, and identify risks and propose solutions.
• Adapt to evolving business needs, analyze their impact on existing solutions, and contribute to adjustments under supervision.
• Communicate highly technical solutions to multiple levels of stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams of experienced developers and architects to assess solutions.
• Assist in the design and development of IT architecture blueprints that align with business objectives.
• Perform research and stay up to date with technology trends, best practices, and industry standards.
• Collaborate on the documentation of architectural standards, guidelines, and reference architectures.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of software and hardware solutions that meet business requirements.

• Participate in the evaluation and selection of software and hardware solutions that meet business requirements.

• Technical Skillsrequired: Java, Python,Front-end development (React), experience with AI coding (VS Code, Co-Pilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cursor, etc.).

• Nice to have:Experience with building projects on Open Source or GitHub, Hackathon experience.
