Job summary

Magna International Limited is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for an onsite role in Brampton, Ontario. The position covers deployment, monitoring, and support for servers, desktops, networking gear, and security compliance.

You will engage in disaster recovery planning, security enforcement, and infrastructure upgrades to serve 450+ users. Ideal candidates hold a post-secondary diploma or degree in CS/CE, with strong Windows 11/Server, VMware, and cloud experience (Azure, Intune).

Qualifications

Recognized post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Windows 11 and Windows Server ecosystem; VMware vSphere.
Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive; Entra ID and policy management.
PowerShell scripting and network fundamentals (TCP/IP).
Azure storage, backup, and cloud security concepts.
Experience with enterprise hardware (HPE/Dell) and Cisco switches/WLCs.

Responsibilities

Deploy, monitor, and support all IT systems including network switches, servers, desktops, laptops, operating systems, software applications and MFPs.
Assist in maintaining the help desk ticketing system to manage, prioritize and close user tickets timely.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for 450+ users.
Enforce data security, endpoint OS security, datacenter security, and access procedures per Magna IT policy.
Develop, test, and review disaster recovery plans for infrastructure and applications.
Maintain infrastructure with firmware, software & hardware upgrades and monitoring.
Ensure compliance with ITGC standards and assist audits as required.
Perform Health, Safety and Environment duties as per HS&E requirements.
Other assigned duties as required.
