Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a Systems Analyst to support, maintain and improve our IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure operations across a large automotive environment.

The ideal candidate brings a college IT diploma, CCNA certification, 10+ years in a complex enterprise and strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/VDI, networking (LAN/WAN) and enterprise apps such as Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Information Technology field.
  • CCNA certification required.
  • 10+ years in a large, complex automotive environment.
  • Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP experience.
  • Experience with virtualization and backups.
  • Ability to support VMware/VDI environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and enhance technology solutions.
  • Escalation point for complex technical issues.

Job Overview

The Systems Analyst will support, maintain, and improve the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure operations.

Compensation

$90,000 - $125,000 annual

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and support for IT systems, services, and overall technology environment.
  • Provide oversight and support for systems backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and enhancement of technology solutions.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and improvements.
  • Guide and support troubleshooting activities across systems, applications, and end-user services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT processes and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain high‑level documentation, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners to support system operations and service delivery.
  • Oversee requests, incidents, problems, and change management activities.
  • Support compliance, audit, and security requirements.
  • Contribute to IT strategy, planning, and project execution.
  • Support organizational priorities through cross-functional collaboration and leadership in IT initiatives.
  • Participate in daily compliance and monthly security patching.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Immediate, open position.
  • $90,000 - $125,000 annual compensation.
  • College diploma in a relevant Information Technology field.
  • Cisco CCNA certification required.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in a large and complex environment, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong background in Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
  • Networking experience — LAN/WAN, switches, routers, VLANs.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMware, VDI, HyperV).
  • Previous helpdesk and troubleshooting experience required.
  • Previous experience managing Windows, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, backups, patches, security and email systems.
  • Ability to support VMware and VDI environments including other virtualization software.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications (e.g., AS/400, Microsoft 365).
  • Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
