Job summary

GREENFOX Windows & Doors is looking for an IT trainee to support staff with business software and provide first-line IT help. You will shadow the AI & IT Manager, write how-to guides, and create training videos.

Responsibilities include testing features, reporting bugs, collecting feedback, and delivering training to office and field staff. Occasional travel to branches is required. Canada work eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Formal IT qualification or certificate in IT or related field.
• Hands-on IT support experience such as co-op, internship, or help desk.
• Comfort with Windows PCs and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Strong written English; able to write clear instructions.
• Comfortable recording voice for how-to videos.
• Patient and friendly when teaching non-technical staff.
• Detail-oriented; logs issues clearly for IT.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence; travel to branches as needed.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Test new features and updates for internal business applications on staff devices.
• Write clear bug reports with steps, expected vs. actual results, and media.
• Re-test fixes to confirm resolution.
• Collect staff feedback and relay it to the AI & IT Manager.
• Create short step-by-step how-to guides for common tasks.
• Record and edit short how-to videos; update help articles.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group training on systems, including ERP.
• Handle first-line IT issues and coordinate with external IT support for escalations.
• Assist with onboarding and occasional branch visits for hands-on training.
