Job summary

Homewood Ravensview is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our North Saanich team. You will install and configure hardware and software, monitor networks and provide remote support to clients, ensuring reliable IT services for clinicians and staff.

You will manage user accounts, troubleshoot issues, and document procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues. The role includes some travel to remote offices and a focus on customer service excellence.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of IT operations experience or related education/co-op.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Server OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • familiarity with networking hardware and video conferencing tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work on IT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote support via phone, email and remote diagnostics tools.

Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed mental health, trauma and addiction facility offering evidence-based, medically-led, inpatient services for first responders, military, veterans, adults, and young adults. Located in North Saanich on 28 acres of forested hillside, Homewood Ravensview offers clients a comfortable and safe environment featuring serene ocean views from spacious rooms, welcoming common areas and a world-class team of physicians, psychiatrists, counsellors and 24-hour nursing professionals.

As an IT Support Technician, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, hardware and software faults, correcting and replacing parts as needed
  • Provide remote support via phone, email and remote diagnostics tools
  • Manage and setup Active Directory users, Exchange users, and VPN users
  • Use JIRA Service Desk system to create, appropriately manage service requests and document reported issues ensuring timely resolutions to the user satisfaction
  • Create and maintain documentation for software installation, configuration and support procedures
  • Assist with supporting Microsoft Windows servers and applications, including: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, application servers and file servers
  • Some travel to remote offices may be required
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Information Technology operations and/or a combination of education, training and co-op experience.
  • Applications: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite, VMware, JIRA Service Desk, Bomgar and video conferencing applications
  • Hardware: Solid experience with PC hardware, SonicWall, Aruba wireless networking, HP and Dell switches, Mitel phones, mobile phones, HP printers and MFP devices
  • College degree or diploma in Information Technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on IT projects with multidisciplinary team members
  • Demonstrated success providing seamless customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as to contribute actively to team objectives
  • Exceptional customer service delivery skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to integrate sustainability into IT operations
  • Be accountable and responsible for actions and decisions

Homewood Health promotes a fair and competitive compensation model. Pay rates are tailored to reflect differences in operating environments and job requirements. Compensation is influenced by many factors including compensation principles or approach for a role or job function, organizational tenure, experience, qualifications or premium skills, external competitiveness, internal comparability, geography and work performance. The salary for this role is 55,000 to 59,000.
