Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in Information Technology operations or related education/co-op.
• Solid understanding of Windows OS, Server OS, Office, VMware and conferencing tools.
• Experience with IT hardware, networking, and user support.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware, OS and applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues and replace parts as needed.
• Provide remote support via phone, email and diagnostics tools.
• Manage Active Directory, Exchange, and VPN users.

• Create documentation for software installation and support procedures.
• Support Windows servers and applications; assist with servers/files.

Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed mental health, trauma and addiction facility offering evidence-based, medically-led, inpatient services for first responders, military, veterans, adults, and young adults. As an IT Support Technician, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, hardware and software faults, correcting and replacing parts as needed
• Provide remote support via phone, email and remote diagnostics tools
• Manage and setup Active Directory users, Exchange users, and VPN users
• Use JIRA Service Desk system to create, appropriately manage service requests and document reported issues ensuring timely resolutions to the user satisfaction
• Create and maintain documentation for software installation, configuration and support procedures
• Assist with supporting Microsoft Windows servers and applications, including: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, application servers and file servers
• Some travel to remote offices may be required

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Information Technology operations and/or a combination of education, training and co-op experience.
• Applications: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite, VMware, JIRA Service Desk, Bomgar and video conferencing applications
• Hardware: Solid experience with PC hardware, SonicWall, Aruba wireless networking, HP and Dell switches, Mitel phones, mobile phones, HP printers and MFP devices
• College degree or diploma in Information Technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on IT projects with multidisciplinary team members
• Demonstrated success providing seamless customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as to contribute actively to team objectives
• Exceptional customer service delivery skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to integrate sustainability into IT operations
• Be accountable and responsible for actions and decisions

The salary for this role is 55,000 to 59,000.
