Alteo is looking for an IT Manager for a permanent position based in Montreal.

You will be responsible for the development, implementation, operation, and security of IT for all of the organization's activities. You will ensure smooth operations and compliance with policies and budgets, and act as a resource person for management.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, coordinate, supervise, evaluate, and control activities related to technological infrastructure, the implementation of information security measures, and the design and implementation of IT projects.
• Act as an advisor to management by proactively recommending IT investments necessary to meet the needs of the organization's various departments and security requirements, while taking into account priorities and budgets.
• Manage infrastructure and platforms.
• Provide general oversight of system operation, capacity, performance, and security.
• Supervise team members and ensure their development.
• Provide an overview of the various IT systems and software, optimizing interactions between them, keeping these various tools up to date, and ensuring that the necessary knowledge is available internally for the sound management and development of these systems.
• Develop and implement infrastructure management policies and procedures and keep them up to date.
• Liaise between different collaborators (developers, websites, IT security firm, management, and users).
• Recommend software and equipment purchases and follow up with suppliers.
• Conduct ongoing technology monitoring to ensure the evolution of the network infrastructure, maximize the use of the most appropriate tools, and improve IT security posture.
• Participate in the analysis of IT developments and monitor projects.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment.

Profile:

• 8+ years of experience in IT.
• Generalist profile with good knowledge of IT infrastructure, development, operations, and IT security.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft environment (O365, Teams, SharePoint etc.).
• Experience in IT project management.
• Experience in IT budget management.
• Experience in selecting and implementing IT tools.
• Experience in IT supplier management.
• Ability to prioritize issues and make informed recommendations.
• Knowledge of best practices to implement in terms of IT security.
• Ability to supervise and mentor IT team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.
• Excellent command of written and spoken French; English is an asset.
