Classification 5 $25.02 per hour in accordance with the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees are provided an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay for all regular hours worked. The period between Christmas Day and New Year's Day is unpaid time during the College closure.
Invigilators supervise students writing a variety of exams on the Fort St. John campus, which may include providing read or scribed exam delivery. Duties include marking/grading CAAT exams, following exam requirements established by the examining institution, and adhering to NLC's invigilation protocols. Invigilators also use NLC's database (Colleague) to enter scores from internal assessments.
Shifts may be scheduled during the day, evening, and/or on weekends. NLC hours of operation are 5:00 am – 10:00 pm, and invigilation shifts may be scheduled within these hours.
