Job summary

Capital Power seeks an Investor Relations Summer Student to help communicate value to investors. You’ll build market and peer analysis, contribute to quarterly earnings, and observe how a publicly traded power producer tells its story to capital markets.

You’ll work with experienced professionals on projects that inform key business decisions. You must be enrolled in a relevant degree program and bring strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze market, competitor, and industry trends, and translate data into clear insights.
• Build and maintain peer-tracking analysis - monitoring competitor investor presentations, earnings calls, and messaging.
• Support the quarterly earnings cycle, including data updates, collection, and analysis for press releases and investor presentations.
• Assist with preparation of materials for investor and analyst engagement, including conference preparation, investor profiles, and briefing documents.
• Maintain the investor meeting record, tracking trends, questions, and feedback from the investment community.

Your Opportunity

One Temporary Full-Time Position Commencing May 2027
