Capital Power is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our Western US Trading team.
This exciting opportunity is for a trader who will join the desk to dispatch and optimize the company’s assets, identify and execute speculative trading opportunities across short‑term physical and financial power and gas markets in WECC, CAISO, SPP, and ERCOT. The candidate will also be involved in supporting the development and execution of structured transactions, long‑term hedging strategies, and portfolio management initiatives. The successful candidate will have a quantitative background with a proven track record of creating and executing physical power flows across the Western U.S., financial trading strategies, and risk management strategies.
This is an office-based position located in Capital Power’s Calgary office.
