Qualifications

The Role

This role will support the participation in Capital Markets securitization, repo and whole loan sale funding programs.

MBS, CMB and ABS Trading and Reporting

• Keep informed of changes affecting the Company’s participation in the MBS and CMB programs as well as any changes affecting the NHA MBS program
• Work with investors, external counterparties and other MCAP departments to coordinate the administration of MCAP’s ABCP/MBS/CMB programs
• Preparation of legal documentation and other related items to support trades for ABCP, MBS, CMB.
• Assist with setting up MBS and CMB pricing models
• Tracking and responding to daily portfolio margin calls
• Assisting and reviewing Investor relation bulk sale submissions and circulation of settlement details
• Calculating borrower penalties and RDI amounts for all Commercial loans

Sales and Pricing Mortgage Portfolio

• Analyze eligibility and recommend portfolio for sale transactions for prime Single-Family and Multi-Family book
• Work with valuation models to price 3rd party mortgage portfolios for sale and repurchase transactions
• Provide reports and analyses requests by investors
• Assist with identifying hedge trades for purchase and sale transactions
• Assisting with Multi-Family rate set model setup and communication with various parties on trade settlements, including hedge tracking and monthly MTM

Ad Hoc Projects and Reporting

• Complete ad-hoc projects as required timely and accurately
• Preparation of weekly ABCP/MBS limit reporting
• Preparation of weekly liquidity management report
• Creating and maintaining process documentation

What You Bring To The Team

• 1+ years of Mortgage industry experience is preferred
• NHA MBS related experience is preferred
• Experience with Capital Markets is an asset
• Experience with Bloomberg is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Self-driven, motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Carries out duties with integrity and takes responsibility for actions
• Superior time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Advanced MS Word and Excel skills
• Strong mathematical abilities
• Proven ability to build and foster relationships
• Undergraduate business degree or the equivalent
