Job summary

NSG Group in Canada seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead product quality efforts, employee development, and process improvements in a high-volume plant. You will supervise materials production, scheduling, logistics, and inventory control, ensuring timely procurement at competitive prices while upholding standards.

The role requires 4-year degree in business or related field, 5 years in manufacturing, and 2 years in supervision, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Business Management or related field.
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability in solving problems related to manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and must be an effective communicator.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Six Sigma certification is desirable.
  • Previous glass experience is preferred.
  • TS16949 experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leadership role in promoting product quality, employee development, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Supervise the materials production area, scheduling, logistics/customer service and inventory control functions, ensuring materials and services are procured in a timely manner at the lowest possible prices without impacting quality, performance, or customer service.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction/avoidance opportunities.
  • Manage the flow of raw packaging materials and supplies coming into the facility and the processes and systems to efficiently manage the material flow.
  • Establish and maintain 5S system. Work with supervisors and hourly employees to ensure plant housekeeping meets or exceeds standards.
  • Other Duties as assigned by manager.

Job description
