Job summary

Ascension Automation Solutions Ltd. is seeking an Inventory Clerk/Junior Purchaser to support internal inventory management and material procurement. You will collaborate with suppliers and project teams to ensure materials are available, orders are tracked, and inventories stay current in the system.

This in-office role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while learning our MRP software.

Job description

The Inventory Clerk/Junior Purchaser is responsible for supporting internal inventory management and material procurement activities. In this role, you will work closely with suppliers and internal project teams to ensure materials are available, orders are accurately tracked, and inventory lists are maintained and up to date.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work to manage internal inventory to ensure standard item lists are streamlined and up to date.
• Engage in conversations with suppliers related to material procurement, pricing, availability, and delivery.
• Assist project teams with ordering materials for projects based on team requirements.
• Work with internal MRP software for ordering, planning, order tracking, etc.
• Take on assigned projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing, procurement, or the automation industry is a plus.

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Ability to work independently and anticipate needs.

Travel

Travel is typically less than 5%, with occasional increases based on business needs.

Flexibility to work adjusted schedules, including occasional weekends or travel, based on operational requirements.

In-office position.

Pay

CA$24.00 - CA$28.00 per hour
