Job summary

American Iron and Metal in Montréal-Est is seeking an Inventory Clerk to join our warehouse team. You will manage receiving, storing, tracking and shipping materials with a focus on inventory accuracy.

You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, use our Warehouse Management System, and provide excellent service to internal customers to support on-time orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management or supply chain.
• Comfortable using computer tools and inventory management systems.
• Organized, detail-oriented and thorough.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Bilingual is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials, verify their accuracy and condition, and enter the required data into our systems.
• Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and categorization.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS and computer systems.
• Respond to requests at the counter and provide excellent service to internal customers.
• Prepare orders, package materials and handle shipments according to schedules.
• Perform manual inventory counts and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse.
• Participate in periodic audits and prepare inventory reports.
• Perform other related duties as required.

You will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our warehouse. You will be mainly responsible for receiving, storing, tracking and shipping materials, while ensuring inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receive materials, verify their accuracy and condition, and enter the required data into our systems;
• Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and categorization;
• Operate various material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts;
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems and the Warehouse Management System (WMS);
• Respond to requests at the counter and provide excellent service to internal customers;
• Prepare orders, package materials and handle shipments according to sales and distribution schedules;
• Perform manual inventory counts and monitor inventory levels;
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse;
• Participate in periodic audits and prepare inventory reports;
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• You have reliable transportation to get to work (the site is not accessible by public transit);
• You have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management or supply chain;
• You are comfortable using computer tools and inventory management systems;
• You are organized, detail-oriented and thorough;
• You have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team;
• You have a forklift certification (asset);
• You are bilingual (asset).
