Job summary

Nunatsiavut Government in Nain, NL seeks an Interpreter/Translator Trainee to develop translation skills by translating and proofreading documents with guidance from the Coordinator. You will gain experience by attending the Assembly and participate in department workshops.

The role includes training and in-servicing as needed, with additional related duties as required. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting Language, Culture & Tourism.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to fluent level of Inuttitut speaking, reading and writing.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills in Microsoft programs.
• High school diploma.
