The Intern in Design for PCE (Product Center Engineering) ECN (External Component Control and Nacelle) is responsible to find solutions with involved groups, to validate and to prepare documentations required for different engineering change requests. He contributes to his team or department by applying his knowledge of several functional areas.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Learn and follow the design steps for the introduction of engineering changes to reduce non-conformities or to address supplier requests affecting various ECN components (sensors, pumps, tubes, electrical harnesses, electronic control, valves, etc.).
  • Prepare and review the documentation required to validate the change conformity (material, manufacturing process, tolerances, etc.).
  • Interface with various groups involved in these projects (supplier, project engineer, material specialist, buyer, customer support, drafting, etc.).
  • Improve our processes.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Communication and presentation skills.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
