Job summary

  • Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering student required.
  • First to last CO-OP term students; English reading and writing ability.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop new software algorithms and efficient solutions.
  • Build robust tests and pipelines to maximize code coverage and deployment.

Internship dates: January 5th to April 23rd, 2027.

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Working with other senior engineers on developing innovative software solutions to address complex aerospace problems.
  • Research and develop innovative software algorithms and solutions
  • Build robust tests and pipelines to maximize code-coverage and streamline deployment
  • Support the deployment through Agile cycles
  • Communicate your progress to the larger group during round-table discussions
What do you need to be successful?
  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
  • Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering Student
  • First to last CO-OP term students
  • Minimum of functional English is required
  • Fluency in Python and ideally a compiled language such as C or Fortran
  • Knowledge of Python testing frameworks such as pytest
  • Knowledge of building software using revision management systems like Git or SVN.
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systemsAnalytical experience in turbomachinery design, systems engineering, or controls software development

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
