Job summary

Regent Christian Academy is seeking an International Program Teacher on Call to deliver or adapt lessons for short-term camp programs at Sullivan Campus in Surrey, BC. The role requires strong English skills, christian education alignment, and ability to plan or adapt curriculum as needed.

Ideal candidates may have TESOL/TEFL/CELTA credentials and will participate in on-campus activities, supervise students, and present themselves in professional attire.

  • High level of English competency.
  • Regular attendance and active participation in a Bible-believing church.
  • Lesson planning and curriculum adaptation abilities.
  • Classroom management and student supervision skills.
  • TESOL / TEFL / CELTA certification is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lessons and curriculum prepared by RCA Camp Instructors for short-term or daily assignments.
  • For extended assignments, assume responsibility for lesson planning, preparing instructional materials, and delivering curriculum appropriate to the assigned camp or program.
  • Adapt existing RCA International Program curriculum and resources to meet the age, English-language level, and learning needs of participating students.
  • When required by the assignment, develop lessons and learning activities in consultation with the Camp Program Lead.
  • Prepare classrooms and learning materials as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities and scheduled excursions.
  • Arrive on campus punctually, as specified in the contract.
  • Dress in business attire, unless otherwise directed for physical education or excursions.

Regent Christian Academy (RCA) is our flagship campus-based school, serving the community through our Sullivan and Cloverdale campuses in Surrey, BC. We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in-person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and the fine arts. Reportsto: Director of International Program or such other person as may be appointed by the Director.

Overview: The International Program Teacher on Call (IPTOC) is a temporary teaching role within Regent Christian Academy’s International Camp Programs. Depending on the length and nature of the assignment, the IPTOC may deliver pre-prepared lessons or assume responsibility for lesson planning, curriculum preparation, and instructional delivery for the duration of the assignment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay: CA $23.00 to $28.00 hourly (based on experience)
