Job summary

Bombardier is offering a law internship in Canada for students enrolled in a Canadian or American university. The role supports Global Mobility and Legal Affairs with visa and document work, translations and research. You will assist in multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with embassies and authorities.

You will work in a hybrid setting, combining administrative tasks with hands-on legal duties, travel support, and data management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Canadian or American law program.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
• Strong intercultural and international experience is a plus.
• Good organization and file management skills.
• Advanced skills with IT tools.
• Ability to draft letters and review documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and preparing visa/work permit applications for Canada/USA.
• Prepare translations, affidavits and other legal documents.
• Communicate with governments for inspections and audits.
• Assist business travelers with visa applications and registrations.
• Coordinate certification, notarization and legalization of documents with authorities.
• Conduct legal research and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist in drafting legal opinions.
• Assist in managing the CIC Employer Portal.
• Update databases with work permit expiry information.
• Enter data and manage documents for Legal Affairs and Global Mobility.
• Support corporate governance by tracking immigration regulations.
• Coordinate global immigration legal services with external suppliers.
• Support in other areas of law as needed.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Assist in coordinating and preparing applications for Visas, work permits and permanent residence for Canada and the United States
• Prepare translations, affidavits and other legal documents
• Prepare various correspondences with governments to respond to inspections and audits
• Assist business travelers with their business visa application and registration procedures, when required
• Coordinate the certification, notarization and legalization of required documents with embassies, consulates, bar association; etc.
• Conduct legal research in the field of immigration law, labor law and related matters and prepare PowerPoint presentations
• Assist in drafting legal opinions
• Assist in the management of the CIC Employer Portal
• Assist in managing and updating the database containing all the information related to the expiry date of work permits
• Enter data and import documents into the database managing Legal Affairs and Global Mobility files, documents and data, and prepare report
• Participate in corporate governance activities such as tracking changes in immigration laws and regulations that may impact Bombardier; and
• Assist in coordinating global immigration legal services with our external suppliers.
• Support in other areas of law (privacy or labour & employment) may be required.

• You are fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
