Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, Canada invites you to join an environmental lifecycle assessment internship. You will work with a senior LCA specialist and engineering teams on data, chemicals and ecodesign projects.

Open to students in chemical, materials, environmental, mechanical aerospace engineering or sustainable development. Bilingual French/English required; strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; Power BI is a plus. Hybrid workplace, 8 months.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in chemical, materials, environmental, mechanical aerospace engineering, sustainable development or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of chemical substances or materials is an asset.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) under supervision with engineering interactions.
• Analyze global environmental trends and develop methodologies, tools and databases for data on chemicals.
• Participate in ecodesign projects for new technologies, materials, or engineering requirements.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Perform environmental Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). The work will be supervised by a senior LCA specialist and interactions will be required with engineering specialists from many fields (e. g. avionics, materials, flight science, etc.)
• Analyze new global environmental trends and regulations and participate in the implementation of company-level strategies to address them. This includes, for example, the development of methodologies, computer tools and databases to analyze and store data on chemicals contained in Bombardier and its suppliers' parts
• Participate in ecodesign projects, for the development of new technologies, materials, or engineering requirements.

• You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's degree program in chemical, materials, environmental, mechanical aerospace engineering, sustainable development or equivalent
• You have a good knowledge of chemical substances or materials (an asset)

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
