Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking an Intern in Project Management for the Final Assembly Line Engineering team. The role involves supporting the FAL Project Team, handling RFC reviews, and ensuring timely engineering document releases to meet critical production milestones.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering groups, gain exposure to aerospace project planning, and participate in governance reviews and cross-site activities. Hybrid work with 2 days in the office is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management, with at least 2 years of study/experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365; coding is a bonus: Excel, Access, Power BI, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, MS Project; VBA, Python.
• Strong communicator (verbal and written) with clear expression.
• Flexible and able to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with attention to detail and quality in work.
• Previous work experience or internship in the field is preferred.
• Project management experience or aerospace/manufacturing exposure is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the FAL Project Team within Engineering Organization at Bombardier Pearson Global Final Assembly Line.
• Assist Change Management activities: RFC technical review, approval, planning, tracking, and release of engineering deliverables for Global Aircraft.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering documents; ensure on-time, first-time-right release to support production milestones.
• Assist Go-and-see activities on the aircraft production line for technical discussions.
• Support project engineers across Bombardier sites on project planning, tracking, and execution.
• Contribute to governance reviews with leadership on Balance Score Card results and major milestones.
• Participate in special projects with interns from other engineering teams.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Working at Bombardier Pearson Global Final Assembly Line(FAL) as part of the FAL Project Team within Engineering Organization.
• Assisting FAL Change Management Activities include Request for Change(RFC) technical review, approval, planning, tracking and executing engineering deliverable release for Global Aircraft.
• Supporting FAL Project Team on preparing, reviewing and approving engineering documents, ensuring on time and first time right document release to support critical aircraft production milestones(major component assembling, testing, flight and certification), maintain documentation database information accurate and up to date.
• Assisting Go-and-see on the aircraft production line to support on-going technical discussion.
• Supporting project engineers located at various Bombardier sites on engineering projects planning, tracking, execution.
• Supporting Monthly Director and VP Operation Review Governance on Balance Score Card Result, Top Line issues, Quarterly All-hands meeting, might be required to present during the review.
• Participating special project acitivities with interns from other engineering teams.
• Providing support to team members on any tasks as directred by supervisor.

How to thrive in this role?

• You are currently completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or something similar (Required), and have completed at least 2 years.
• You have hands-on expereince with Microsoft Office 365, and coding capability is a bonus:
