Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an engineering and project management intern to join the Pearson Global Final Assembly Line (FAL) project team in Mississauga. You will support engineering deliverables, change management activities, and documentation release to meet aircraft production milestones.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field, with at least two years of study completed, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar (Required).

Responsibilities

• Working at Bombardier Pearson Global Final Assembly Line(FAL) as part of the FAL Project Team within Engineering Organization.
• Assisting FAL Change Management Activities including RFC technical review, approval, planning, tracking and executing engineering deliverable release for Global Aircraft.
• Supporting FAL Project Team on preparing, reviewing and approving engineering documents, ensuring on time and first time right document release to support critical aircraft production milestones.
• Assisting Go-and-see on the aircraft production line to support ongoing technical discussion.
• Supporting project engineers located at various Bombardier sites on engineering projects planning, tracking, execution.
• Supporting Monthly Director and VP Operation Review Governance on Balance Score Card Result, Top Line issues, Quarterly All-hands meeting, might be required to present during the review.
• Participating special project activities with interns from other engineering teams.
• Providing support to team members on any tasks as directed by supervisor.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Working at Bombardier Pearson Global Final Assembly Line(FAL) as part of the FAL Project Team within Engineering Organization.
• Assisting FAL Change Management Activities include Request for Change(RFC) technical review, approval, planning, tracking and executing engineering deliverable release for Global Aircraft.
• Supporting FAL Project Team on preparing, reviewing and approving engineering documents, ensuring on time and first time right document release to support critical aircraft production milestones(major component assembling, testing, flight and certification), maintain documentation database information accurate and up to date.
• Assisting Go-and-see on the aircraft production line to support on-going technical discussion.
• Supporting project engineers located at various Bombardier sites on engineering projects planning, tracking, execution.
• Supporting Monthly Director and VP Operation Review Governance on Balance Score Card Result, Top Line issues, Quarterly All-hands meeting, might be required to present during the review.
• Participating special project acitivities with interns from other engineering teams.
• Providing support to team members on any tasks as directred by supervisor.

How to thrive in this role?

• You are currently completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or something similar (Required), and have completed at least 2 years.
• You have hands-on expereince with Microsoft Office 365, and coding capability is a bonus:
  • Excel, Access, Power BI - Data Management
  • Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams - Communication
  • MS Project - Project Management
  • VBA, Python - Coding (Bonus)
• You are a strong communicator (verbal, written) and can clearly express your thoughts.
• You are flexible, can handle changing priorities in fast pace environment.
• You are a team player, have a positive attitude, attention to detail and value the quality of your work.
• You have previous work experience or have completed an internship position.
• Project management experience (planning, scheduling, budgetting, etc.) or have worked in aerospace or manufacturing environment will be a bonus.
