Job summary

Our client in Canada seeks two Residential Buildings Piping Designers with over four years of experience in a related role. The positions are based west of the GTA, with duties across plumbing design for residential buildings and coordination with MEP teams.

Responsibilities include producing plumbing drawings for permits, guiding design briefs, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and leading design reviews to ensure compliance with standards. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or post-secondary education in Mechanical Technology, Architectural Technology, Building Systems, or related discipline.
• Revit experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to attend project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate plumbing design drawings for permit and construction under the direction of the Project Engineer or Project Lead.
• Lead or assist in developing design briefs, verification requirements, and project checklists to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain design intent and project milestones.
• Review and issue shop drawings and support construction services with site reviews and technical clarification.
• Attend design and coordination meetings; record and distribute meeting minutes to the MEP Project Lead.
• Other related duties as assigned by the Plumbing or MEP Division Leads.
