Your Contribution

The Intermediate Hydrogeologist will coordinate and manage hydrogeological projects from start to finish, overseeing field staff, subcontractors, supplies, and technical reporting for senior review. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will support various projects and collaborate with the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, reviewing their work for accuracy
  • Coordinating subcontractors such as drillers and laboratories
  • Interpreting data and preparing high-quality reports
  • Developing study designs and proposals
  • Building long-term client relationships
  • Engaging in business development and strategic planning
  • Applying hydrogeological expertise and promoting multidisciplinary approaches
  • Managing projects from proposal to close-out, including scheduling, budgeting, and client communication
  • Coordinating with senior project managers and engineers
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field
  • Licensed or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario or the Association for Professional Geoscientists of Ontario
  • 3-5 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in hydrogeological investigations, sampling, and regulations
  • Experience with groundwater monitoring, hydraulic testing, and data interpretation
  • Knowledge of dewatering, water balance assessments, and mitigation plans
  • Experience with pumping tests and water permits is an asset
  • Experience with environmental site assessments and remediation is an asset
  • Strong communication and technical report writing skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications and spreadsheets
  • Valid G driver’s license and access to a car
