Where do we need you?
Preference is to be based in Guelph, ON to be with the other regional team members but with flexible work options. Expectations for at least two days in the office, with flexibility as needed. Flexible on location for the right candidate. Travel across North America isn’t typical but may be required for projects or team related activities. Travel within Canada is a possibility, especially locally in Ontario.

As our new Senior Acoustics and Vibration Engineer with a passion for working on environmental and architectural related projects, you will play your part to contribute to our global acoustics and vibration team’s vision to be the world’s most trusted and innovative authority in acoustics and vibration consulting, recognized for delivering exceptional results that shape environments where sound and vibration enhance the world.

Expected Qualifications and Skills
• Experience working on Canadian acoustics and vibration environmental and building design projects. At least 5 years of experience in consulting expected.
• Degree in engineering, physics, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• P.Eng., or eligible for P. Eng. certification in Ontario.
• Expert on the fundamentals and approaches used to measure, predict and evaluate acoustics, noise and vibration.
• Proficiency with computational and office suite software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and SharePoint, MATLAB, finite element modeling packages, etc.).
• Experience with sound and vibration modeling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, CATT, Odeon or EASE, SAP).
• Staff training and mentoring experience are desired and expected as part of the role.
• Flexible, multi-tasking work habits, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Highly organized, reliable, creative, innovative, adaptable and energetic worker as well as a fast learner.
• Excellent and confident written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driven to exceed expectations and push for excellence.
• Must be able to live and work in Canada, and preferably to the US for occasional project work as required.
